Bath & Body Works A Thousand Wishes is marketed as a fine fragrance mist, not a sunscreen. Yet ethylhexyl methoxycinnamate (octinoxate) sits as the third ingredient by concentration, a UV filter banned from Hawaiian waters for environmental harm and under EU review for endocrine disruption. The fragrance entry hides what it hides: DEP (diethyl phthalate) is the phthalate still in widespread US cosmetic fragrance use, found at up to 40,000 ppm in body sprays by FDA's own survey, and it never appears on a US label.
